Acquisition of Sacred Art

We buy religious antiques and processional heritage

We acquire liturgical silver pieces, sacred imagery, candlesticks, and processional heritage of historical value. Operating with expert appraisal across Spain and internationally, we offer direct, discrete, and professional service.

The true value of a religious piece depends on specialized factors: hallmarks, artist attribution, the condition of the polychromy, or the purity of the silver. Our appraisal is conducted by experts who understand the nuances of the sacred art market.

Inquire about a piece

«A 19th-century monstrance and a 20th-century one may look similar at first glance. The market value of one relative to the other can be very different. That is what we know how to evaluate.»

Who we serve

Identify your situation

Not every seller arrives with the same situation or needs. We work with very different profiles, and the process adapts to each one.

Confraternities and Brotherhoods

Heritage being renewed, duplicate pieces after a donation, or enseres no longer used in worship. We manage these transactions with the discretion required by an institution. No intermediaries, no unwanted publicity.

Parishes and Ecclesiastical Institutions

Obsolete silversmithing, retired imagery, incomplete or damaged altar sets. We value the set even if not all pieces are of interest, and advise on what is worth preserving and what has market potential.

Inheritances and Family Liquidations

You have inherited religious pieces and don't know exactly what you have or what they are worth. This is the most frequent situation. No prior knowledge is required: we identify, date, and value each piece clearly and without technical jargon.

Specialized Collectors

Collections being reoriented, pieces that no longer fit the collection line, or simply stock seeking a specialized buyer. We know the market and can close transactions quickly and reliably.

Antique Dealers and Professionals

We also operate with colleagues in the sector for pieces outside their specialty. The service is professional, agile, and frictionless. Discretion is mutual.

Individuals with One or Two Pieces

It is not necessary to have a full collection. If you have a single piece and want to know its value and market potential, consult us. The inquiry carries no commitment.

Technical Criteria

How we appraise
every piece

We do not provide generic appraisals. The price of a religious piece depends on specific variables that can only be appreciated with expertise in the sector.

Hallmark Identification

In silver and noble metal silversmithing, the hallmarks of contrast, city, and silversmith largely determine the value. We know how to read and interpret them.

Imagery Schools

We distinguish between the Olot school, Italian imagery, polychrome wood carvings, and modern resin reproductions. The value difference can be highly significant.

State of Gilding and Plating

We evaluate whether the finish is original or subsequent, if it is fire gilding, galvanic plating, or lacquering. This directly affects the value and restoration possibilities.

Liturgical Use and Confraternity Market

We know the difference between a piece with potential in the collector market and one with active demand in brotherhoods. This allows us to provide realistic appraisals.

Purchase Process

How a transaction
is managed

Every transaction follows a clear process. No improvisation, no ambiguity. This is how professionals work.

01
Initial Contact and Photographs

Send us photographs of the piece via WhatsApp: front, back, base, and any visible detail, mark, hallmark, or inscription. Professional photos are not necessary. Good light and several angles are sufficient for a first appraisal.

02
Preliminary Appraisal

We study the photographs and provide our technical appraisal: piece identification, approximate dating, observed condition, and market value range. This appraisal carries no commitment on your part.

03
In-person Review if applicable

For pieces of significant value or when photographs do not allow a definitive appraisal, we arrange an in-person review. We travel when necessary at no additional cost.

04
Formal Proposal

If the piece is of interest, we formulate a concrete and reasoned offer. No pressure or artificial deadlines. You have the time you need to decide with all information on the table.

05
Closing, Collection, and Payment

Once the proposal is accepted, we manage collection and payment quickly and discreetly. Payment is made via bank transfer or cash, as you prefer. For institutional transactions, we can issue the required documentation.
